Story

Meet Precious!Precious is a 2-3 year old toy-sized Korean Pomeranian who has had quite a journey. Rescued from a backyard breeder who went out of business, this sweet girl is looking for her forever home.Precious is incredibly shy and is just now learning what it's like to be a normal dog. She had very little human contact in her early life, so she's still figuring out that people can be loving and kind. Despite her initial shyness, she's healthy and sweet, and with time and patience, she's sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.Precious needs a patient and understanding owner who can reassure her and give her the time she needs to decompress and feel safe. Due to her timid nature, she would do best in a home without small children. Her new family must be experienced with the Pomeranian breed and comfortable with toy-sized dogs. We're only considering inquiries from Collier County and southern Lee County to ensure she finds the perfect nearby home. The adoption fee for Precious will cover all her expenses, including:•Spay surgery•Dental cleaning•All vaccinations•Heartworm test•Rabies certificate•MicrochipIf you have the love, patience, and experience to help Precious thrive, please reach out. She’s ready to find a safe, loving forever home where she can feel secure and cherished.Aplication must be filed at our website : http://maxsarkrescue.org/

How big is a pomchi puppy? ›

Size: Toy – Typically 6-9 inches tall at the shoulder and 4-10 pounds. Coat: Can be short and smooth like a Chihuahua or long and fluffy like a Pomeranian. Colors can vary widely, reflecting both parent breeds (black, white, brown, cream, gray, red).

Is a pomchi a pedigree? ›

A Pomchi may have a pedigree parent – or both parents – from their respective parent breed lines, but this still does not make the Pomchi a pedigree in and of itself.

Do pomchis have health problems? ›

Their long, fluffy coat requires regular upkeep and grooming. They can also have health problems commonly found in the breed, including dental disease, tear duct issues, trachea collapse, cataracts, and hip and joint problems.

How long do pomchis live? ›

Telling whether a Pomchi is the right dog breed for your personality, schedule, and expectations can be a little difficult. These dogs can live for anything between 12 and 15 years, so you are making a long-term commitment when you adopt or buy a Pomchi.

Do pomchi dogs bark a lot? ›

These dogs can become very vocal if left alone; this will not make you popular amongst the neighbors so if you are away a lot of the day, this little cutie is not for you. The Pomchi adapts well to apartments (as long as you have trained them to stop barking after one bark) or they will enjoy a secure yard to explore.

Can pomchi be left alone? ›

Pomeranians are social dogs and thrive with the companionship of their family. Despite being social dogs, they can handle some time on their own, with adequate training. They should be able to be left alone for 6-8 hours during the day.

Is it hard to train a pomchi? ›

Pomchis can sometimes be a bit difficult to train and may bark a lot, but they can be a good choice for inexperienced dog owners. They're relatively easy to care for and are very sweet toward their family members. They don't need a lot of space to play or a lot of exercise in general.

How often should you walk a pomchi? ›

Exercise-wise, a fully grown Pom usually needs no more than 30 minutes walking each day split between a morning and evening walk; with much younger or older dogs this is likely to be a bit lower. Overdoing it can put pressure on your buddy's joints and bones, so always follow the specific exercise advice of your vet.

Do pomchi need haircuts? ›

Regular trimming every 4 to 6 weeks will help maintain the silhouette and ensure the fur grows evenly. This cut requires a skilled groomer who can sculpt the fur to highlight the Pomeranian's natural curves and angles.

How to spot a fake Pomeranian? ›

Unless your breeder provided Kennel Club registration papers, it is not always easy to tell if your dog is a purebred Pomeranian. The best way to know for sure is by looking at the dog's official pedigree or doing DNA genetic testing if the correct paperwork is unavailable.

How many puppies can a pomchi have? ›

The average size litter for small dogs like Pomeranians ranges from one puppy to three puppies. However, sometimes they can produce a litter of up to 5 pups. In some rare cases, the Pomeranian litter size can be six or seven puppies.

Is a pomchi a good pet? ›

Are Pomchis Good for New Dog Owners? Pomchis can sometimes be a bit difficult to train and may bark a lot, but they can be a good choice for inexperienced dog owners. They're relatively easy to care for and are very sweet toward their family members.

What color Pomeranian is the most expensive? ›

Show quality Pomeranian puppy prices can be as high as $10,000. A micro or teacup Pomeranian price could be about $1800 on average. For a Black Pomeranian, you can expect the price to be around $2000 since this is the rarest color for this breed. The beautiful white Pomeranian can also cost you around $1500.

How much should a 3 year old pomchi weigh? ›

This is because the breed standard calls out for a Pomeranian to be: “from 3 to 7 pounds with the ideal weight for show specimens being 4 to 6 pounds.” And it is true that just about all Poms that compete in conformation shows fall within this range.
